Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park, Sungkai (20th November 2009)

After having 5 papers in two weeks, finally i am free from exams in my university life. Please pray for me that i can pass all these 5 papers so that i do not have to sit for exams anymore next semester. Today, i am heading to Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park with my coursemates. It's time to relax before heading to Ahmedabad.Hot spring? I think the last time i went to Hot Spring when i was very young. I can still remember the place was full with mosquitoes and it's called 'Tawau Hotspring".

Sungai Klah is located 10km away from the town of Sungkai in Perak. Whether you are coming from the North or the South of Peninsular Malaysia, get to the nearest PLUS Highway and head for Sungkai toll exit. The journey from Kuala Lumpur to Sungkai is approximately 70 minutes. After the exit, turn left at the junction. Travel 1km along the trunk road and turn left. Follow the signage to Sg. Klah Hot Springs Park and you will pass Sungai Klah FELDA village before reaching here.

Upon arrival, we got our tickets for RM8 per head since we were in a group of 17. We walked around 200m to reach the hotspring or you can take the alternative way which u can use the tram to go there if you are too lazy to walk.

Basically, there are two big pool ; The big hot spring pool that gets its source of heat from the underground and another big pool that gets its source of cool water from the mountain spring. There are some other facilities such as private jacuzzi which is more expensive( RM 25 onwards per person), egg boiling activity( you can boil the eggs and eat it there), water reflexology(a walk path which built by rocks and you can walk on it), massage service, food and beverage stalls, and also the changing rooms. All the facilities are well-maintained and this is a very good spot for photography. I enjoyed taking photos there and i will show some of my photos.

We left Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park around 1.30 pm and heading to Bidor which is around 20 km away for lunch. It's the old style kopitiam like what i saw back when i was in Tawau. We were very tired and we had the very delicious " Drumstick Duck Mee".

After lunch, we were heading back to Kuala Lumpur again. It was raining heavily and this took us longer time to reach Kuala Lumpur. On the way back, there were 10++ cases of accident and it was very scary. Life is precious and priceless. Please drive slowly especially in the raining days. Thanks to all my coursemates for this trip. I had a very good time with all of them. I hope there will be more trips with them before we graduate.

Incredible India ! Here I come !

Incredible India? How incredible india is? Is it really incredible that it should become one of the largest tourist spot for everyone in the world? In fact, India never gives a  good impression to people around the world. Poverty, unhygenic, and dangerous are the few words that people usually use to describe India. Through Slumdog Millionaire, I guess it shown a clearer picture about India. No matter how people saying about India, it is one of my dream to visit India.  I had this thinking since one year ago and finally my dream is going to realise so soon. I going to India on 24th November 2009 until 7th of January 2010. I am going to prove how true is their saying and explore for something that i can never see in the world but in India.

"Ahmedabad which is located in Gujerat, is the place that i will be staying for 6 weeks. Ahmedabad is a city in India; it is the largest city in the state of Gujarat, with a population of approximately 52 lakhs (5.2 million). The city established itself as the home of a booming textile industry, which earned it the nickname "the Manchester of the East." There are three main seasons: summer, monsoon and winter."

This is the city that i going to spend my 7 precious weeks and i going to visit during their winter. Don get surprise that India has winter. I will never know this if i never visit to India. I guess everyone is wondering what i going to do in this city for 7 weeks huh? I will be working for an internship through AIESEC(student organization that provides exchange programme) as a volunteer. I will be working in the Ahmedabad Municipal Council under Heritage Cell. It sounds fun huh?

Today is 13th of November 2009 and i really excited and looking forward for the adventure in India which will start from 24th November 2009. I am sure this will be one of the best life changing experience for me.

Happy Halloween's Day

                               Happy Halloween's Day

Halloween's day is celebrated on 31st of October every year and Malaysia doesn't celebrate it. Today, I received 2 sms greeted me Happy Halloween's day with the Trick-or-treat in the beginning of the sms.I get confused but i still greeted them 'Happy Halloween's Day'. I don't understand trick-or-treat means that and i decided to check it out in wikipedia and here what i got.

"Trick-or-treating is a custom for children on Halloween. Children proceed in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as candy, or sometimes money, with the question, "Trick or treat?" The "trick" is an idle threat to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property, such as Eggs and Flour being thrown at householders windows if no treat is given."

by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trick-or-treating

Now i get it and trick or treat is a custom for children. So, adult has no right to ask for this. Anyway,i shall celebrate Halloween's day in the future when i get the chance. This shall be one of my dream to be fulfilled.
