Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park, Sungkai (20th November 2009)

After having 5 papers in two weeks, finally i am free from exams in my university life. Please pray for me that i can pass all these 5 papers so that i do not have to sit for exams anymore next semester. Today, i am heading to Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park with my coursemates. It's time to relax before heading to Ahmedabad.Hot spring? I think the last time i went to Hot Spring when i was very young. I can still remember the place was full with mosquitoes and it's called 'Tawau Hotspring".

Sungai Klah is located 10km away from the town of Sungkai in Perak. Whether you are coming from the North or the South of Peninsular Malaysia, get to the nearest PLUS Highway and head for Sungkai toll exit. The journey from Kuala Lumpur to Sungkai is approximately 70 minutes. After the exit, turn left at the junction. Travel 1km along the trunk road and turn left. Follow the signage to Sg. Klah Hot Springs Park and you will pass Sungai Klah FELDA village before reaching here.

Upon arrival, we got our tickets for RM8 per head since we were in a group of 17. We walked around 200m to reach the hotspring or you can take the alternative way which u can use the tram to go there if you are too lazy to walk.

Basically, there are two big pool ; The big hot spring pool that gets its source of heat from the underground and another big pool that gets its source of cool water from the mountain spring. There are some other facilities such as private jacuzzi which is more expensive( RM 25 onwards per person), egg boiling activity( you can boil the eggs and eat it there), water reflexology(a walk path which built by rocks and you can walk on it), massage service, food and beverage stalls, and also the changing rooms. All the facilities are well-maintained and this is a very good spot for photography. I enjoyed taking photos there and i will show some of my photos.

We left Sungai Klah Hot Springs Park around 1.30 pm and heading to Bidor which is around 20 km away for lunch. It's the old style kopitiam like what i saw back when i was in Tawau. We were very tired and we had the very delicious " Drumstick Duck Mee".

After lunch, we were heading back to Kuala Lumpur again. It was raining heavily and this took us longer time to reach Kuala Lumpur. On the way back, there were 10++ cases of accident and it was very scary. Life is precious and priceless. Please drive slowly especially in the raining days. Thanks to all my coursemates for this trip. I had a very good time with all of them. I hope there will be more trips with them before we graduate.
